A Sudden Inspiration

After leaving Celestic Town, Bai Shi headed west and entered the Mt. Coronet area once more.

Despite the steep terrain and difficult conditions, it was the best shortcut to Eterna City.

Bai Shi wanted to save time and reach his destination as soon as possible.

So he chose without hesitation to cross the mountains.

As he made his way over the ridges, Bai Shi encountered many kinds of Pokémon.

He took a closer look, but they were all common Pokémon like Geodude and Sandshrew.

Bai Shi quickly lost interest and looked away.

"I only recently caught Electrike. There's no rush to catch another Pokémon."

"What matters now is training Electrike and bringing its battle strength up to par."

As his team grew, Bai Shi increasingly felt stretched thin.

After all, every Pokémon differed in body structure, personality, and preferences.

Even Pokémon with similar types needed different training plans.

Leaving aside Stantler, who tended to coast along, Bai Shi still had five Pokémon.

They already took up most of his energy.

He was struggling to keep up as it was. Another one or two would be too much for him.

Electrike, in particular, had only just joined, and Bai Shi still had plenty to sort out for him.

For now, Bai Shi preferred to focus on the Pokémon he already had.

He could consider catching another when he had the energy to raise it.
