A Rematch at Oreburgh Gym

After many days away, Bai Shi returned to Oreburgh City.

He had booked a match the day before and secured a rematch with Roark.

"Bring it on, Bai Shi! Show me how much you've improved!"

Roark grinned. He hoped Bai Shi, whom he hadn't seen in so long, would surprise him in battle.

"Mr. Roark, I'll give it everything I've got and show you how much my Pokémon and I have grown. I look forward to learning from you!"

Bai Shi met his gaze and replied politely, a confident smile on his face.

He was no longer the rookie Trainer he had been when they first met.

This time, he had only one goal: victory.

Once they had finished catching up, the match began.

The rules were the same as before: three Pokémon against three.

During the match, the Gym Leader could not switch Pokémon, but the challenger could.

The match would end when all three Pokémon on one side were unable to battle.

"Go, Anorith!"

As the Gym Leader, Roark sent out his Pokémon first.

It was the Anorith he had revived from the fossil Bai Shi had sold him.

"Anorith, huh? Zangoose, you're up!"

Bai Shi knew this Pokémon well. He quickly sent out his lead Pokémon.

"Zangoose, use Swift!"

Bai Shi seized the initiative as soon as the match began.

Zangoose opened its mouth and fired a flurry of star-shaped rays.

"Anorith, use Ancient Power!"

Roark calmly gave the command without a change in expression.

Anorith gathered several rocks and hurled them into the oncoming Swift.

The rocks punched through Zangoose's Swift as though it were made of paper.

They not only stopped the attack but kept flying toward Zangoose.

"Zangoose, dodge!"

Bai Shi frowned, distinctly unimpressed with Swift's power.
