If he wanted something, people should hand it over. Why would he pay for it?

Liyue did have ships that sailed directly to Sea God Island. The route was extremely safe, too; there had not been a single accident since it was established. But given their identities as Evil Soul Masters, and the Limit Douluo stationed at Liyue Harbor, Gangzi had chosen to depart from Vast Sea City instead.
