- Jiang Yuan awakens in the Central Plains’ Pill Tower Square with the memories of an ordinary Pill Tower disciple who shares his name. He realizes he has transmigrated into Battle Through the Heavens.

- Jiang Yuan considers the engagement troublesome and is open to ending it if Cao Ying does not want it, but he is unwilling to overlook Song Qing’s assault.
- Xuan Kongzi, one of the Pill Tower’s Three Giants, arrives, confirms Song Qing was responsible, and offers to take Jiang Yuan away to recover. He condemns Song’s abuse of his authority.
