Salasha stood, her face expressionless. "No. I simply don't want to waste time. Mr. Gilderoy Lockhart, this is a classroom, not your private meet-and-greet. If you hold another activity unrelated to the lesson, I'll write two letters of complaint: one to Headmaster Dumbledore and one to the Ministry of Magic!"
Even Draco couldn't hold a candle to Salasha when it came to attitude!
Lockhart was grinding his teeth, but he still had to maintain his elegant, ever-smiling image. The result was a smile as strange as it was ugly.
"Does anyone else here agree with Salasha that a test before class wastes teaching time?"
Apart from Lockhart's fans, most of the students felt, to some degree, that the test was a waste of time. But few Wizards dared offend a new professor in their very first lesson. Luo Bin, being "honest," silently raised his hand.
"Very good. Fewer than I expected. I respect every student's opinion. As I wrote in Magical Me, 'Everyone is equal.' But Mr. Sear, Miss Fudgey, I hope you both understand that I cannot stop watering an entire forest of seedlings because two of them are rebellious. So I'll continue giving occasional in-class tests. A zero for your coursework will affect your final exam grades. If you two can accept that, I won't interfere further!"
A threat. An outright threat!
Salasha gave him a cold glance from behind the lectern, then sat down without a trace of expression. Her brazen manner practically said, I'll do it again.
As for Luo Bin, he wore a faint, unreadable smile that left Lockhart guessing what he was thinking.
"Now, I've marked all your papers. Overall, you did reasonably well, though you still have enough room for improvement to fill the Great Hall downstairs. Be sure to study all seven
