"Gryffin... Ger..."
Before Filch could finish his scolding, he fell to the floor with a thud and began sleeping soundly.
So soundly that he started to snore. Luo Bin guessed he hadn't had a good night's sleep since Mrs. Norris was attacked.
"Hermione, you... we're in big trouble!"
Attacking the caretaker with magic would probably leave Gryffindor House with negative points. At the thought, Ron's brows drew together.
"What else could we have done? Even if the headmaster doesn't believe his nonsense, Filch was dragging Harry to his office. What if Harry got hurt? What would the students who saw them on the way think?"
"Uh... so what do we do now?"
"Put him in a chair and make it look like he's taking a nap!" Luo Bin suggested.
"But... cough, cough... when he wakes up... cough, cough... he'll still come after me..."
Harry's throat seemed to have been hurt. He had to cough every few words!
"Dumbledore said that without proof of guilt, a person is innocent. Stop standing around and help!"
Luo Bin slipped his arms under Filch's, Harry and Ron each took a leg, and Hermione picked up the metal bucket and mop.
After some effort, the four of them had arranged the scene just right: Filch appeared to have finished cleaning the corridor and settled into an armchair for a nap.
"Luo Bin, will this work?"
"We'll find out tonight, Ron. Hermione's Stunning Spell will only last four or five hours. Let's get downstairs before there are no seats left in the Great Hall!"
"Right!"
At five that afternoon, Filch woke. He peered around groggily, then his eyes widened when he saw the tall window behind him.
He remembered what had happened at noon. Those little villains had ambushed him with magic! He huffed and puffed
