"Who am I? Who else could I be?!"
Luo Bin smiled calmly, then pulled a glass bead the size of a pigeon's egg from his pocket. The instant James met the slit-pupiled eye inside it, his whole body turned to stone. He had no time to shout or press the alarm!
"What... what did you do to him?"
Robbie had seen plenty of Petrification magic, but he could tell this was different. James's Petrification could not be reversed. James was truly dead!
"Robbie, don't you think the things James did deserved a death sentence?" Luo Bin asked as he put the bead away.
Hermione, Mrs. Norris, Colin, Justin, and the others had been able to recover from Petrification.
First, Snape and Sprout had made a Restoration Potion.
Second, none of them had looked directly into the Snake King's eyes. That was why they had stood a chance.
"He deserved it. A thousand deaths wouldn't make up for James's crimes! 'Ken Linhua,' your transformation potion looks like it's... wearing off!"
"It doesn't just look like it. It is wearing off!"
As he spoke, Luo Bin took a potion from the Blue Cloth Pouch and drank it. Less than two minutes later, he had changed back into Ken Linhua's likeness.
"Let's go!"
Luo Bin could clearly feel that the second transformation potion was wearing off faster than the first.
He stuffed the petrified James into an empty cabinet in an empty room, then hurried Robbie onward. Fortunately, they met no one along the rest of the way.
"Is this... the specimen room?!"
"That's right. Robbie, are you sure you're ready for this?"
"I'm sure!"
Robbie stared at the red circular opening in the door, his eyes resolute.
Seeing that, Luo Bin began the tedious process of opening it. He spoke the password,
