"Of course I remember. That ought to raise our standing at home. At the very least, we won't have to worry about smelly clothes and socks for the next year, right, dear brother?"

Compared with others his age, Ron was outstanding. But the other Weasley children were simply too famous.

Bill worked at Gringotts, Charlie trained dragons in Romania, Percy was a Prefect, and Fred and George's pranks gave every professor in the school a headache.

Even Hagrid had said that, for the past few years, he'd spent much of his energy keeping the Weasley Twins away from the Forbidden Forest. Still, he had to admit that both boys were remarkably clever.

Their parents, meanwhile, lavished the most love on their darling Ginny. That left Ron overlooked and out of favor at every turn.

"I solved the giant chessboard Professor Minerva McGonagall set up. Surely someone ought to take care of my everyday chores!"

Watching Fred and George roar with laughter, Ron sounded less and less sure of himself. Fortunately, Luo Bin kept telling the story before Ron had to sit in embarrassment any longer.

When they heard how Harry had turned the tables and killed Quirrell by touching him, everyone's eyes widened. When they heard that Voldemort had appeared as a gray mist, intent on killing Harry and taking the Philosopher's Stone, Ron clutched the buttons on his chest. And when Dumbledore arrived and drove Voldemort back, they all breathed a sigh of relief and applauded the Headmaster's extraordinary magic.

"Luo Bin, what did you do during the fight?" Ron asked,
