He released his left hand, letting the butt of the lance drop with its own momentum. Then he caught it in a reverse grip, snapped his wrist, and drove the lance straight forward.

He instinctively turned his head. The lance skimmed past his temple, its sharp whistle still ringing in his ears.

His right hand shot out and seized the shaft. He twisted hard, trying to wrench the weapon away, but after turning it only a few inches, he met a solid force that locked it in place.

Almost at the same moment, Snake Lance Douluo followed up. He pressed his fingers together like a spearhead and stabbed toward Tang Shan's throat, while drawing his left hand back to sweep the lance's butt toward the back of Tang Shan's neck.
