The goal he had set earlier—studying how to use Soul Power to develop a Self-Created Soul Skill—had made little progress. Clearly, he had underestimated the difficulty. He could set it aside for now and return to it once he understood Soul Power better.
Apart from that research, his cultivation now came down to two things: cultivating Soul Power and studying the meridians, and practicing Internal Martial Arts to develop and strengthen his body.
He had already opened the Hand Jueyin Pericardium Meridian. At this rate, he should be able to incorporate all Twelve Regular Meridians into his Soul Power circulation within a year or two at most. As for his body, tempering his bones and organs to perfection would take another month or two. That should be just enough time to reach Level 20 and obtain his Second Soul Ring.
Having reviewed his recent gains, Tang Shan began planning the next stage of his cultivation.
First, he needed to explore his will. He had to find the beliefs that resonated most deeply with him, then forge them into his own will to pave the way toward Elixir Force. As for Transformed Force, he had long since spread Hidden Force throughout his body. All that remained was to keep tempering his physique; the breakthrough would come naturally.
He was all but certain he could reach Transformed Force Perfection before his Third Ring.
And when he advanced to two rings, he needed to continue experimenting with using his will to influence Soul Skills. He wondered whether Self-Control might play some special role in that.
Tang Shan raised his head toward the bright moonlight. His eyes narrowed slightly, thoughtful.
He looked down at the carp in the pond. Soul Power slowly flowed from his fingertips and slipped into the water, stirring faint ripples.
