Egypt, Wizard Hospital.
A crowd had gathered around Will's hospital bed. If an outsider had seen who was there, their jaw would have dropped.
Among them were an internationally renowned Potions Master, a member of a powerful family capable of pressuring Egypt's president, Egypt's finest Curse-Breaker, the head of the Auror Department, several ministers of the Egyptian Wizards' Council, and even the Council Head himself.
An Auror described the scene when they found Will.
"We found the boy inside the Pyramid of Khufu. There were also the bodies of Khafre and several Wizards. The boy was unconscious, barely breathing, so we brought him out immediately..."
The Council Head nodded. Whatever else had happened, the boy had survived.
He turned to the Doctor standing nearby, who looked rather nervous. "How is the boy now?"
Under the Council Head's questioning, the hospital Doctor felt immense pressure. "Our examination found some external injuries, malnutrition, and injuries caused by Dark Magic. There's no sign of mental impairment, but he'll need time to rest and recover."
"The boy also seems to have spent too long inside the Pyramid. He's carrying traces of a curse. We should leave that to the council's Curse-Breaker team; our capabilities are limited."
The Council Head signaled to someone beside him. "Leave the boy to us. We'll make sure every trace of the curse is removed."
"Thank you." Hobert's expression had eased considerably.
"Mr. Howard, there's no need to thank us. Even if he weren't your nephew, we'd do everything we could to remove the curse."
The Wizards' Council ordinarily might not have paid much attention to Hobert, but he had reached the Egyptian council through the Muggle president. They had no choice but to take the matter seriously.
