Will stepped out of the Vanishing Cabinet onto the High Tower. It was deserted except for a girl with a tangled mane of dirty-blond hair that reached her waist.

"Good afternoon, Will," Luna greeted him in her dreamy voice.

"Good afternoon, Luna. Just you here? Where is everyone else?" Will looked around the empty tower.

"Gryffindor has Herbology with Hufflepuff..." Luna gazed at his face, her voice seeming to come from far away. "You don't look very happy, Will. There are lots of Wrackspurts around you."

"Wrackspurts?"

"Yes. You look like they've got you." Concern flickered in Luna's eyes.

She nodded, her dusty, pale-gold hair swaying gently like a cloud. "They buzz around you and muddle your thoughts. Can't you see them? They're especially fond of people with too much on their minds."

Will glanced around his shoulders without thinking. Of course, he saw nothing.

"I do have a few things to think about lately," he admitted. After all, he had quite a show to put on soon.

"You could try a Dirigible Plum," Luna suggested earnestly, rummaging through the little beaded bag she carried. "Or... oh, I think I've used them all. Never mind. If you firmly tell them to go away in your mind, they might get bored and fly off."

She seemed to have forgotten the Dirigible Plum earrings hanging from her ears.

A faint smile appeared on Will's face. "Thanks for the advice, Luna. I'll try it."

"You're welcome." Luna smiled, her attention apparently caught by a cloud drifting past the window. "That cloud looks like a Crumple-Horned Snorkack's horn, don't you think?"

Will followed her gaze but saw only an ordinary cloud. The girl had the same otherworldly air as a Seer.

"You know, the High Tower is very quiet," Luna said, her voice still
