Although it was Saturday, Hogwarts was still under lockdown, so most of the young wizards were in their dormitories or Common Rooms.

Will was delighted. It seemed his phoenix transformation was a success. Phoenixes were among the few creatures that could naturally Apparate, and their Apparition was accompanied by a burst of flame.
Apparition was impossible in certain places in the wizarding world, such as Azkaban, Hogwarts, and Nurmengard. But those restrictions only applied to wizards; phoenixes and house-elves were not affected.
In other words, from now on, Will could use a phoenix's Apparition to enter and leave those places at will.
In high spirits, Will returned to human form and summoned Anco, asking for a hot drink. Then, still wearing his soaking-wet robes, he entered the Room of Requirement—he needed a rest.
A few minutes later, Will lay in a bathtub filled with hot water, sipping the black tea he had asked Anco to bring as he began reflecting on his Animagus ritual.
