Peter felt a chill in his bones as he looked at Will's smiling face.
"Tell me, Peter, what spells can kill?" Will asked gently, smiling as his eyes swept over him.
"The Killing Curse... Dark Magic... destructive spells like Confringo..." Peter frantically searched his memory.
Will's smile faded. He looked deeply disappointed. "You clearly have no talent for killing, Peter. Almost any spell can kill. Cast a Levitation Charm on someone's head, lift it, give it a twist..."
Peter went pale. He had never been a Wizard who was good at killing.
"If you want to kill me, you'd better be ready to die yourself. Understand?" A spell shot from Will's Wand.
One of Peter's arms jerked upward with a sharp crack and dislocated on the spot.
Pale and sweating from the pain, Peter forced himself to nod furiously.
"Get out. And don't forget to report whatever you find."
A limping rat then crawled out of the Room of Requirement.
Will cast Scourgify several times to clean the experimental area, tossed the Black Diary aside, and went over the Clear-Headed Charm's magical structure a few more times. He had no intention of testing it on himself. He would wait until Peter had experienced it a few more times.
