Will even doubted whether such things counted as Transfiguration.
After careful thought, Will decided to continue reading Dumbledore's notes, which contained some of his insights into Soul Transfiguration.
Dumbledore's approach was to practice on animals: turn an animal into a substance, then turn some of that same substance into an animal and compare the two.
A few weeks later, the attempt had failed. Will gained no substantial insight from it, only a few experience points.
