Will had sought out Neville, of course, because of the problem with his magic.
Over the past few days, he had all but reduced three werewolves to imbeciles. Under the accumulated effects of countless Memory Charms, they had forgotten so much that they could no longer care for themselves. Other werewolves even had to feed them.
Yet there was still nothing wrong with the structure of their magic. If he needed to cast Memory Charms on them for years on end, Will simply did not have that kind of time. He wanted to know how Neville's grandmother had cast them on him.
Could Mrs. Longbottom also be an expert in Memory Charms? It was certainly possible.

"Will," Neville said, scratching his head, "did you need something?"
Now in his fifth year, Neville had grown tall and broad, but he was still very reserved.
"There's something I wanted to ask." Will poured Neville a glass of grape juice. "About your memory."
"Um... sorry, Will, my memory's terrible... I don't know what I've forgotten this time, but you can tell me..." Neville's face immediately turned red. He began apologizing right away, which left Will feeling rather awkward instead.
"Neville." Will sat down beside him and patted his shoulder. "My friend, my brother, I'm not bringing up your memory to blame you or take anything out on you."
Neville had been blaming himself just a moment ago, but seeing how warm and friendly Will was, he soon relaxed.
"S-sorry, Will. I got a bit carried away." Neville scratched his head sheepishly.
"There's no need to apologize, Neville. Actually, you should have a little more confidence. Your memory's improved a lot, and your marks are very good now, especially in Herbology. I think Professor Sprout is practically
