In Quirrell's quarters, he knelt on the floor, trembling. "I killed Harry Potter. Dumbledore will be furious. He'll look for the killer, and then we'll..."
Neither master nor servant knew that Harry was still alive. After knocking Harry unconscious, Quirrell had watched him fall from dozens of meters up, then fled the scene without even checking whether he was dead.
Nor had he imagined that a child could survive a fall from such a height.
Quirrell and Voldemort weren't entirely wrong. Harry had been hanging by a thread.
Though Harry had fallen from high above, the crisscrossing branches over the Forbidden Forest had greatly slowed his fall and softened the impact, leaving him a slim chance of survival. But it was only a slim chance.
Without a highly skilled Healer nearby, Harry would likely have died before he could be brought back to Hogwarts. As luck would have it, the Centaurs beside him were renowned for their healing magic. Ronan kept Harry alive and brought him back to Hogwarts.
Harry had injured his internal organs and broken his arms and legs, but at least he had survived. Hopefully, the ordeal would teach him not to be so reckless again.
"Shut up!" Voldemort snarled.
The moment he spoke, it was as though a powerful current shot through Quirrell's body. Agonizing pain seized him, and within two seconds he collapsed to the floor.
"No one knows you went to the Forbidden Forest. All you need to do is keep your head down. Do you think it would be so easy to return once you've left Hogwarts?" Voldemort's tone allowed no argument. In truth, he knew Harry Potter's death would enrage Dumbledore. But so
