Draco fumbled to catch it. When he picked it up for a closer look, a delighted smile spread across his face.
It was a Tower Medal, with his name, Draco Malfoy, 1991, engraved on one side and surrounded by decorative patterns.
Draco felt a sting in his nose-Will really hadn't forgotten him!
"This..."
Will said casually, "See the patterns around your name? It's a Core Medal. As for your funding allowance, draw up a list of what you need. I'll give it to you later."
Draco rubbed his burning eyes and gave a heartfelt smile, shaking his head. "There's no need for that."
There was no need to trouble Will over such a small amount of money.
Will glanced at Draco. "I don't care whether you need it. This is a basic allowance shared by all High Tower members.
"If you turn it down, what will the others think when they collect theirs?"
Draco hastily nodded in agreement. He wouldn't dare go against Will.
"But, Will..." Something else occurred to him, and he looked puzzled. "Are we really going to become a secret society?"
He couldn't understand what Will hoped to achieve by doing that.
Will shook his head. "Of course not. That's just something to fool a few people for now."
A secret society? Controlling the world from behind the scenes? What a joke.
I have no intention of hiding behind the scenes and pulling strings. Being a shadowy mastermind is merely something you resort to when you're weak.
If you have the power to suppress the entire world single-handedly, why hide?
Everything done behind the scenes is ultimately meant to bring you out onto center stage.
"Are things going smoothly on your end?"
"Fairly smoothly. There was some resistance at first, but everything's going well now. Yesterday, someone
