In the Hogwarts Headmaster's Office, Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge paced anxiously back and forth, his robes swaying gently with his steps.
"Professor McGonagall, is Albus still busy? I have something urgent to discuss with him!"
"Minister, please be patient a little longer. I imagine you've already heard about the series of incidents at Hogwarts last night." Professor McGonagall shook her head and spoke softly, handing Fudge the Butterbeer she was holding.
"Headmaster Dumbledore is currently checking on the injured students to ensure they receive proper care and treatment."
"All right! All right!" Cornelius Fudge sat back down in displeasure, his tightly furrowed brow betraying his impatience.
He had rushed to Hogwarts with Ministry of Magic staff at daybreak, yet it was nearly lunchtime, and he still hadn't seen Dumbledore.
Just as Cornelius Fudge was about to lose the last of his patience, footsteps finally sounded outside the Headmaster's Office. The wooden door opened with a soft creak, and Dumbledore entered.
"Albus, you've finally shown up!" Cornelius Fudge immediately went over to greet him.
Professor McGonagall also breathed a quiet sigh of relief. If Dumbledore had stayed away any longer, she really wouldn't have been able to keep Fudge waiting!
"Cornelius, what urgent matter has you so eager to see me? Don't worry, all the students are all right!" Dumbledore said with a smile at Cornelius Fudge.
He then turned to McGonagall and said gently, "Minerva, thank you for your help. I'll take it from here."
Professor McGonagall nodded and left the Headmaster's Office.
"Albus, are all the students really safe and sound?" Cornelius Fudge asked quietly after Professor McGonagall had left, a hint of doubt in his voice.
