"When Death Comes Knocking" told of a black-robed stranger wearing a bird-beak mask who arrived in Good Person Village on the night of the Cold Food Festival. After his arrival, villagers began coughing violently and developing sudden high fevers. The village's medical student thought it was just a common cold and that drinking more hot water would do the trick. Only when the afflicted villagers began bleeding all over and died did he realize something was seriously wrong.
By then, the medical student himself had started coughing. For a time, the shadow of death hung over the entire village.
Ye Yin checked the cast list. The other actors from Specter Cinema had all died in the earlier acts of "The Hungry Mountain Village," so he was the only one left to play that unlucky medical student.
