It was better than losing her life. Kushina Uzumaki was still too young, anyway, and shouldn't have been out on missions.
This was a good opportunity for her to rest in Konoha and let her chakra pathways heal. Including the rehabilitation afterward, she would need at least a year.
During that time, Kushina Uzumaki could focus on her studies at the academy.
"Sir, we'll leave the cleanup here to you and your men." Tsunade turned to Hatake Sakumo, then paused before adding, "Come see me in a little while. I'll treat you."
"No need. We have to take Jirabi back immediately," Hatake Sakumo said without hesitation.
Then he glanced at the Root members, his feelings toward them rather complicated.
He belonged to the Anbu, not Root, yet most of the men accompanying him on this mission were from Root. Normally, Hatake Sakumo wouldn't have cared about such things.
But before he left Konoha, the Third Hokage had given him specific instructions: if they took any prisoners, he had to deliver them directly to him.
"All right. Be careful, and don't let them kill Jirabi." Tsunade glanced at the remaining Root members. "Jirabi is important. We can use him to negotiate with the Raikage."
Hatake Sakumo immediately understood what Tsunade meant. His political instincts weren't particularly sharp, but he was no fool. The Second Shinobi World War could break out at any moment.
Killing Jirabi would certainly deal Kumogakure
