Sahiro Uchiha used his growing power and bonds to resist Danzo’s schemes, then joined Team 7 on the Land of Waves mission. After helping defeat Zabuza and Haku, he confronted Gato and prepared to face his armed followers alone.

• Sahiro escaped Itachi during the Uchiha massacre by linking with Obito and entering the Kamui Dimension, then later joined Team 7 with Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke.
• Sahiro opposed Danzo’s Root operatives, killed five who attacked him and Ino, and was cleared of charges by the Third Hokage.
• Sahiro chose to work with Orochimaru on the Konoha Crush Plan, while Obito warned him that Itachi was coming because of Danzo.
• Team 7 accepted Tazuna’s Land of Waves mission, and Sahiro chose to continue after learning that Gato had concealed the danger.

As the Chunin Exams began, Zuo Hao exposed his strength, rescued Sasuke from Root, and challenged Konoha’s leaders over their treatment of the Uchiha. Danzo’s attempt to cripple Zuo Hao left him poisoned in the hospital, where Neji arrived as the story paused.

• Zuo Hao challenged Neji to rethink the Caged Bird Seal and defeated him, revealing flaws in his Byakugan-dependent fighting style.
• At the Chunin Exams, Sahiro intervened when Rock Lee attacked Sasuke, and Zuo Hao later exposed his layered Genjutsu to the Jōnin observing the written test.
• In the Forest of Death, Sahiro rescued Team 10 and fought Orochimaru, but Orochimaru reached Team 7, cursed Sasuke, and suppressed Naruto’s Nine-Tails chakra.
• Zuo Hao secretly cooperated with Orochimaru against Hiruzen, then fought Yamanaka Fū and Root to rescue Sasuke and bring him back to Team 7.
• Zuo Hao confronted Hiruzen over Sasuke’s attempted seizure, while Kakashi backed him and Gaara challenged him before Zuo Hao subdued Shukaku with his Sharingan.
• Torune disguised himself as Ino and poisoned Zuo Hao with insects on Danzo’s orders, and Zuo Hao sent Sasuke to find Kakashi before ANBU took him to the hospital.
• Zuo Hao told Kakashi that the poison might kill him within a month and accused Danzo and Hiruzen of approving the attack, as Neji appeared in the doorway.
