He knew a great deal about the God-Demon Battlefield Ruins. Some things had already vanished by the time he came here before, but others were bound to remain. He swept through the ruins with Qiao Ranran, picking and choosing what he wanted. She turned her nose up at nothing. Anything she could use was wonderful; anything she could not could be given away. Treasures like these could only be found by chance, and even selling them would bring in a great many Spirit Stones. She could not let them slip away.
As for the other Demonic Cultivators they encountered, Pei Ling showed no mercy. He simply made them part of the Divine-Demon Battlefield.
At first, Qiao Ranran kept watch for signs that the murderous aura here was invading Pei Ling's mind. After they dealt with so many more Demonic Cultivators, she worried it might affect his sanity. But it plainly had not. If anything, the killing seemed to put him more at ease. Even she could tell he was in a good mood.
Qiao Ranran had decidedly mixed feelings. Unable to hold back, she asked, "Junior Brother Pei, you fell to the demonic path before, didn't you?" In his previous life, he had been locked in the Abyss, fought his way back out, gone to Demon Abyss City, and even come to this Divine-Demon Battlefield. None of it could have been pleasant.
