With a casual wave of the Divine Beast White Tiger's paw, Dai Tian's consciousness sank back into endless darkness.
At some point, Dai Tian's eyes flew open. Like a drowning man, he gulped down air.
When he realized he was lying in bed, he breathed a sigh of relief.
He hurriedly felt himself all over. Only after finding every part of his body intact did he relax.
"Thank goodness. No missing arms or legs."
Dai Tian was still badly shaken.
"Was that a dream?"
"No, it couldn't have been. A dream would never feel so real."
"But if it wasn't a dream, why am I in bed instead of on that so-called Primordial Battlefield? And where did that so-called Divine Beast White Tiger go?"
As he thought about it, Dai Tian recalled the Divine Beast White Tiger telling him to go back. It had waved its enormous paw, and then he had woken up.
Had it been a dream, or had it really happened?
If it was real, why had he appeared here?
If it was fake, why had he dreamed something like that?
As the saying went, what occupied the mind by day appeared in dreams by night. He was certain he had never imagined anything like it, so how could he have dreamed it?
Dai Tian could make no sense of it. After thinking for a while without reaching an answer, he set the question aside. At least he was alive, and that mattered most. He would focus on the present. Once he grew strong enough, the truth would surely come to light.
