The next day, the Sea Demon Ship left port and sailed toward the open sea.
The sea stretched beyond sight, glittering blue. Xiao Wu leaned over the rail and cheered, "What a beautiful sea! It's even prettier than it looked from shore!"
Ning Rongrong stood at the bow, the sea breeze lifting her skirt. Her eyes curved with her smile. "No wonder people say the sea and sky are one color. They really are."
Bai Chenxiang spread her arms into the wind. "The wind out here is nothing like the wind on shore."

"I'll jump down and catch a few for us to eat, guga!" Guga said, already lifting a leg to leap into the sea.
Starry Guga reacted in a flash and pulled her back. "Guga, stop fooling around. There's food on the ship, guga."
Golden Mastiff Guga folded her arms and curled her lip. "All you think about is eating. Pathetic, guga."
"You're pathetic, guga!" Guga turned and glared at her.
By noon, Haider emerged from the cabin and laid out a table full of food and wine. "Everyone, the wind's chilly out here. Come have something hot to fill your stomachs."
Lin Yuan looked over the spread without touching his chopsticks. He smiled at Haider. "I'll pass. Save these dishes for yourselves to enjoy after you go overboard."
Haider's face changed in an instant. His scheme had been exposed.
"Get them!" He flipped the table and roared to the others.
A dozen or so sailors drew short knives from their clothes and rushed to surround them.
