Xiao Bai Teases Guga, the Second Trial Cleared

After Guga jumped into the sea, her two short legs kicked furiously and her little arms paddled with all their might. In a few strokes, she darted to Lin Yuan's side. Holding his breath, Lin Yuan reached out and grabbed her little tail.

Guga wasted no time. She took Lin Yuan down into the depths, cutting through the water toward the far shore of the Ring Sea.

Seawater roared past his ears, and churning blue filled his vision. Lin Yuan let Guga tow him along, experiencing her speed firsthand for the first time.

The farther Guga swam, the more excited she grew. Halfway across, mischief seized her, and she turned toward a nearby school of Demon Soul Great White Sharks.

The sharks had not expected such a little thing to dart among them. Startled, they scattered. Guga towed Lin Yuan left and right through the school, slipping beneath one shark's belly, then skimming past another's dorsal fin. She was having the time of her life.

Several Demon Soul Great White Sharks grew furious. They wheeled around, opened their cavernous jaws, and chased after Lin Yuan and Guga, their rows of bone-white teeth glinting coldly.

Guga did not panic. She cackled mischievously, made a sharp sideways turn, and dragged Lin Yuan straight back into the school of Demon Soul Great White Sharks.

The pursuing sharks failed to brake in time after her sudden turn. Several crashed together and reeled in every direction.

"Can't catch me, Guga!" Delighted with herself, Guga looked back and pulled faces at the sharks.

Dragged this way and that, Lin Yuan felt the world spin and his stomach churn. He finally steadied himself enough to shout, "Stop fooling around! Go!"
