In the second round of the finals, the Lin Yuan Team ranked first based on its placement in the advancement tournament and received a bye.

With no match to fight that day, everyone was glad to relax. Their quarters in Spirit City were neat and tidy. An old locust tree stood in the front courtyard, with several square tables and a few cups of tea beneath it. Lin Yuan sat across from Yang Wudi, playing chess, while Ning Rongrong, Xiao Wu, and the others chatted and laughed nearby.

Yu Tianheng stood outside with another man. The man was exceptionally tall, dressed in a dark robe, with hair and beard half gone gray. His hands were clasped behind his back. He was Yu Yuanzhen, master of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan—the Thunder Douluo.

Yu Tianheng stepped through the gate first, cupped his fists toward Lin Yuan, then moved aside to introduce the man.

"Lin Yuan, this is my grandfather, Thunder Douluo Yu Yuanzhen."

Lin Yuan placed a chess piece on the board before looking up at the visitor.

"Sect Master Yu, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Lin Yuan, master of Linyuan Pavilion."

Yu Yuanzhen nodded in reply, then slowly surveyed the courtyard.
