After leaving the Clear Sky Sect, Li Changqing found a secluded mountain range.

The mountains towered high and stretched for thousands of miles. Their peaks were covered in snow and ice that never melted.

Not even Soul Beasts lived on those peaks, let alone humans.

Li Changqing landed atop one of the peaks, found a naturally formed cave, and went inside.

He sat cross-legged in an open space and piled everything before him: the six Soul Bones from Tang Hao, the dozens he had obtained in Slaughter City, and the dozen or so he had seized from the Clear Sky Sect.

The Soul Bones, varying in age and body part, glowed in different colors. Their light filled the cave, which had been dark save for a faint glimmer from outside, until it resembled a dance hall lit by multicolored lamps.

Li Changqing summoned the Kunpeng Yin-Yang Sword and suspended it above the pile. He wanted to strengthen it further.

He circulated the Kunpeng Method. Black and white light rose around him as the phantoms of a Kun and a Peng emerged from his body, swimming and soaring around the Soul Bones.

The Kun and Peng released Lunar and Solar Power. Under the influence of Yin-Yang Power, the Soul Bones slowly dissolved into pure energy.

The Kunpeng Yin-Yang Sword absorbed that energy.

A moment later, the Soul Bones had vanished, but the sword had barely changed.

It made sense. There had been dozens of Soul Bones, but the Kunpeng Yin-Yang Sword had only just absorbed the Super Divine Asura Demon Sword. More Soul Bones were unlikely to improve it much.

Li Changqing sighed. "What a shame. I was going to scour the entire Douluo Continent for Soul Bones, but it looks like there's no need."
