Rubick wore a miserable expression. He was in no mood to celebrate, because Nami couldn't open the Seastone Handcuffs.
Nami tossed aside the wire. "This is tricky. I can't open them. They look so simple, so why won't they budge?"
Rubick was puzzled too. He remembered seeing Seastone keys twice in the manga, and both had been rods with rectangular protrusions.
Yet Nami couldn't open a lock like this. He could only chalk it up to how this world worked.

"But we're about to go to Sky Island," Luffy said. "Don't you want to come, Uncle?"
"I've got it!"
Rubick said, "Then we won't go back to Alabasta. We'll head straight to Sky Island. There's something up there that can open these handcuffs."
Mary listened closely. This was information no one had known before, but Rubick stopped there, leaving her anxious and unwilling to make a move.
"Great!" Luffy said. "We'll go to Sky Island together!"
Seeing how determined Luffy was, Mont Blanc Cricket said, "All right. There's a perfect opportunity at noon the day after tomorrow. The Saruyama Alliance will reinforce and modify your ship so it can ride the rising current."
"Chestnut-head Uncle, you're a good guy."
Mont Blanc Cricket waved him off. "Hey, you saved us, after all. Besides, if you really find the City of Gold up there, the shame my ancestor has borne for four hundred years will finally be cleared."
Suddenly remembering something, Mont Blanc Cricket said, "Oh, right. Use these two days to find the last thing you'll need."
"What is it?"
"A South Bird."
"A South Bird?"
"Masira, bring it out," Mont Blanc
