The wormhole Rubick had opened had redirected Kaido's Bolo Breath behind him, hitting him with his own attack.
But Kaido's body was absurdly tough. The Bolo Breath hadn't hurt him in the slightest.
"You were jumping all over Marineford two years ago, kid," Kaido said. "And after two years, this is all you've got? If so, you die today!"
Kaido pulled the spiked club from his waist and crossed more than ten meters in one stride. He swung it in a sweeping Thunder Bagua, the Four Emperors' signature way of saying hello.
Locked in place by Kaido's Observation Haki and overwhelming presence, Rubick immediately shifted into his human-beast form. At ten meters tall, he barely had a head on Kaido.
His face turned gold, and antler-like Dragon Horns sprouted from his head, nothing like Kaido's bull horns. Hard golden dragon scales covered his body everywhere except his abdomen.
His hair grew long and wild, as thick as a lion's mane, billowing without wind. Two dragon whiskers emerged above his lips and hung down to his abdomen. He stood on backward-bending legs, a five-meter tail swaying behind him.
Bathed in gold from head to toe, he looked like a sacred creature.
"Divine Dragon: Dragon Claw Hand!"
Rubick flexed his arms, Haki flowing over his claws. He struck, sending a black, three-meter-long gleam against Kaido's club.
"Hissss—"
Sparks flew as their Armament Haki clashed. Ripples of force spread outward, reaching a peak when both unleashed Conqueror's Haki!
"This is... a clash of Conqueror's Haki!"
Hancock faced the spreading force head-on. At the edge of the ripples, her hair whipped about, but she stood tall and refused to yield. Foer and the others weren't strong enough to do the same. Crushed beneath the powerful Conqueror's Haki, they could only crouch on the ground
