After a long while, everything fell quiet.
Typhon was so angry he laughed. His calm gaze fell on the CP0 Agent below, who had remained composed.
He admired the Agent's composure.
But that would not spare him the consequences of angering Typhon.
"You're ready, aren't you?"
The CP0 Agent straightened and raised a hand to pull down the brim of his hat.
Death was so close, yet his heart grew calmer than ever.
"I've made my peace with it."
The moment he finished speaking, a green tail pierced his chest.
Meruem, the Ant King, appeared behind him and killed the CP0 Agent without meeting any resistance.
Meruem withdrew his tail, and the body fell to the ground.
"King, are we still joining the battle?"
Meruem flicked the blood from his tail without a thought, then looked respectfully at Typhon.
"If the World Government can threaten us once, they'll do it again."
"Who can guarantee they won't come after us when the war is over?"
The World Government's threat was exactly that: if they had made it once, they could make it a second time.
Besides, that mysterious weapon could be used at any moment.
The World Government had offered no promises or guarantees.
Even if it had, they would not have believed them.
"This won't end so easily," Typhon said in a low voice. Never had his hostility toward the World Government run so deep.
"If the World Government wants so badly to keep us out of the war, then we'll show them the price of angering us."
Typhon had never been one to yield easily.
It was out of the question.
If their territory was destroyed, they could rebuild it. At worst, they would move to another island.
He was still young. What could he not afford to lose?
