A figure slipped silently onto the battlefield.
A vicious silver crescent slashed toward Borsalino.
Sensing danger, Borsalino transformed into light and let the slash pass through him.
Many people froze when they saw that familiar figure.
Their expressions turned grave. They knew exactly what his arrival meant.
"Are you alone, Xiaer?"
Borsalino looked at his familiar opponent, then glanced up at the sky and out toward the distant sea.
"The Monster Legion is an ally of the Flying Pirates, after all. But for now, it's just me. The Admiral and the others are on their way, so you don't have much time left."
Xiaer smiled easily, even offering them a helpful warning.
With that, Xiaer beckoned to Borsalino. Then he vanished, racing away from the main battlefield at astonishing speed.
"What a pain." Borsalino sighed, slipped his hands into his pockets, and turned into a streak of light to follow.
Zephyr and Sakazuki watched with dark expressions.
They knew perfectly well Borsalino was going off to slack off. He had left the main battlefield so easily that he might not even fight. He might just watch from the sidelines.
After all, Borsalino and Xiaer knew each other too well.
They had been opponents for years.
They were enemies, but there was no deep hatred between them.
Still, Zephyr and Sakazuki had no room to complain.
Tying down a powerful enemy with just one fighter was enough.
If Xiaer joined the main battle, that would be real trouble.
In a chaotic melee, "Godspeed" Xiaer would pose an enormous threat.
The more chaotic the situation, the more it suited him.
