Ch. 1201Typhon Breaks Free
Plot points and events
- Pluton’s blast reduces much of Mary Geoise to ruins. Its shock wave masks the alarms below ground, leaving Typhon’s rescuers unchallenged.
- Linlin cuts Typhon free from his Seastone restraints. With his Devil Fruit power restored, his body rapidly regenerates, and his immense vitality and fearsome presence become clear.
- Starved after years in captivity, Typhon needs to hunt and feed. He also appears determined to confront the World Government that imprisoned him.
- Typhon releases his powerful will across the battlefield. World Government fighters, including Saint Warcury, are shocked to realize he is alive; Shiki recognizes him and is delighted.
- Typhon’s return does not immediately turn the battle around. The World Government concentrates its attacks on the Flying Pirates’ leaders, especially Shiki, while the exhausted fleet is already fracturing and preparing to withdraw.
Character developments and interactions
- Typhon emerges from long-term imprisonment as a terrifying, rapidly healing force. His freedom brings back both his powers and his appetite—and suggests a desire for revenge.
- Linlin understands Typhon’s needs without requiring him to explain and helps free him.
- Shiki welcomes Typhon’s return, seeing him as a potential lifeline for the Flying Pirates, though the group’s decline makes that hope uncertain.
- Warcury and the World Government react with alarm. They recognize Typhon as a threat so dangerous that they cannot spare fighters to pursue him.
- Shiki and the Flying Pirates’ leadership remain under mounting pressure as their allies lose faith and their organization edges toward collapse.
