After Eiji overwhelmed his opponents in the Arena, spies and Konoha’s observers speculated about his power and mysterious Six Eyes. The chapter left Jiraiya planning to investigate the prophecy, Uchiha Yo reconsidering his future, and Orochimaru considering how to obtain Eiji’s genetic sample.

  • The Third Raikage killed one Konoha gate guard, knocked out the other, and prepared to draw Konoha’s strongest fighters into chaos.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi told Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru that they would reinforce the forces near Amegakure, while he stayed behind to protect Konoha.

Ch. 52A Woman Who Gives Her All Is a Good Woman!

Eiji faced Warui’s Hell Stab in the forest while Kushina headed through the invaded village toward the Senju Ancestral Home. After seeing a massive blast erupt from the forest, Kushina confronted three Kumogakure ninja and attacked them with hundreds of shadow clones and a Rasengan.

  • Warui charged Eiji with Lightning Release: Hell Stab, and Eiji calmly met him at close range.
  • Kushina ran through battle-torn Konoha toward the Senju Ancestral Home, where three Kumogakure ninja ambushed her and demanded directions.

The Third Raikage led Kumogakure ninja in a devastating assault on Konoha, while Hiruzen Sarutobi and the village’s fighters struggled to defend the village and uncover the attack’s purpose. After learning that the Konoha Military Police Force had been assassinated, Hiruzen avoided the Raikage’s strike and prepared to counterattack with Wind Release.

  • Hiruzen Sarutobi confronted the Third Raikage, who blocked Hiruzen’s staff and sent him flying with a lightning-powered chop.
  • Tsunade warned Hiruzen that Kumogakure ninja were attacking throughout Konoha, while the Third Raikage refused to stop and pressed his assault.

Mito Uzumaki defended the Senju Ancestral Home from Kumogakure intruders while Nawaki helped defeat them. In Konoha Forest, Ryuuzaki Eiji continued fighting the invading force and turned his attention to the skilled Ramui, who attacked him with water and lightning.

  • Mito Uzumaki confronted the Kumogakure ninja who invaded the Senju Ancestral Home and used her chakra to suppress them.
  • Mito Uzumaki restrained the Nine-Tails inside her mind with Adamantine Sealing Chains, then unleashed the chains against the intruders.
  • Nawaki struck the last Kumogakure ninja with the Rasengan Eiji had taught him, and Mito chose to stay and guard the Senju scrolls and tools.

Ch. 56Black Panther

Ryuuzaki Eiji defeated Ramui after cutting apart his Black Panther lightning technique and crushing him against a rock face with Azure and Limitless. He confronted Warui and the other Kumogakure ninjas over their invasion of Konoha, then prepared to continue fighting as they recoiled from his killing intent.

  • Ramui unleashed Lightning Release: Black Panther, but Eiji split the lightning leopard with his Kusanagi Sword.
  • Eiji used Azure to appear before Ramui and punch him into a distant rock mountain.
  • Eiji pinned Ramui against the rock with Azure and Limitless, crushing him until only blood remained in the crater.
  • Warui grieved Ramui’s death and attacked Eiji, but his fist could not reach him.
  • Eiji challenged the Kumogakure ninjas for invading Konoha and declared they should be ready to die.

Ch. 57Four Violet Flames Formation

Eiji fought off the Kumogakure Ninja until Warui and four Jonin trapped him inside a Four Violet Flames Formation, leaving him to face Warui and the remaining fighters. Elsewhere, Konoha’s clans and Minato repelled most of the Kumogakure force attacking the village.

  • Eiji killed several fleeing Kumogakure Genin with Azure, then felt pain from overusing his cursed energy and decided to finish the fight quickly.
  • Warui gathered more than thirty Kumogakure Ninja around Eiji, and four Jonin formed a Four Violet Flames Formation that enclosed them together.
  • Eiji realized the barrier’s anchors could not attack directly and focused on Warui as Azure gathered around his fists.

Ch. 58Reinforcements

Konoha's leaders learned that Eiji had been trapped inside a barrier in the forest while fighting Kumogakure forces, and the clans and Tsunade's team rushed to help him. The Third Raikage broke away from his fight with Hiruzen Sarutobi to confirm Eiji's death, with Hiruzen pursuing him.

  • Kushina told Minato, Fugaku, and Hiashi that Eiji was surrounded by over a hundred Kumogakure ninja in Konoha Forest.
  • A purple Four Violet Flames Formation rose around part of the forest, and Shikaku suspected Eiji was trapped inside.
  • Uchiha Somei and Hyuga Soichiro led their clans toward the forest, while other clans joined them.
  • Jiraiya realized Eiji might be the enemy's real target, and Orochimaru and Tsunade left the fight with the Third Raikage to support him.

Ch. 59Standoff

Orochimaru, Tsunade, and Jiraiya found the devastation Eiji had wrought before reaching him trapped inside the Four Violet Flames Formation with the Third Raikage. Hiruzen Sarutobi tried to negotiate an end to the invasion, while suspecting Danzo had helped enable it, but the Raikage refused to leave Eiji alive.

  • Orochimaru, Tsunade, and Jiraiya crossed the devastated forest and found a Kumogakure Ninja who raved that Eiji had killed everyone.
  • The three reached the Four Violet Flames Formation and saw Eiji standing atop a mound of Kumogakure Ninja corpses, facing a wounded, lightning-clad opponent.
  • The Third Raikage arrived with Hiruzen Sarutobi, and Hiruzen stopped Tsunade from attacking because the Raikage could escape and massacre people across Konoha.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi wondered whether Danzo and Root had helped assassinate Konoha's guards, destroy its Sensory Barrier, and deliver the Four Violet Flames Formation to Kumogakure.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi offered to let the Third Raikage leave if his men released the formation, but the Raikage refused because Eiji had killed so many of his people.

Ch. 60I'm Afraid I'll Never Forget You

Eiji fought Warui inside the barrier while struggling to maintain Limitless and Azure, then appeared to die after Warui pierced his chest. As the onlookers recoiled, Hyuga Hiashi sensed something terrifying about Eiji’s body, leaving his fate uncertain.

  • Hiruzen Sarutobi raged at the Third Raikage, while Eiji struggled to keep up with Warui and felt his brain nearing its limit.
  • Eiji decided to risk another full-power Azure, hoping to raise his Fusion Rate and obtain Reverse Cursed Technique before the Third Raikage could reach him.
  • Eiji unleashed Azure inside the barrier, and Warui dodged as the attack churned through the dust and strained the four Kumogakure Jonin holding the barrier.
  • When the dust cleared, Warui had pierced Eiji’s chest and thrown his apparently lifeless body to the ground.
  • Warui felt an inexplicable dread around Eiji’s body, and Hyuga Hiashi recoiled after seeing something with his Byakugan that he called impossible Ninjutsu.
