A New Year's Letter to Readers
In this new year, I wish all my fellow Daoists:
Smooth sailing, double blessings at your door, prosperity as the three yang energies usher in spring, peace through all four seasons, five blessings at your door, everything going smoothly in sixes, seven stars shining overhead, wealth flowing in from all eight directions, the reach to pluck the moon from the ninth heaven, and perfection in all ten respects.
I, Old Four, have been writing novels for several years, and they've always flopped.
Only recently have things started looking a little better.
Perhaps I caught a ride on the wave of Lineage novels.
The very last ride, of course.
During those months, Lineage novels sprang up one after another, but few managed to keep going. Even some whose early results suggested they might launch their authors to stardom with a single book were suddenly abandoned.
As for the Lineage novels launched after mine, almost none gained any traction.
Most were simply abandoned, while a few kept plodding along at 4,000 characters a day.
I wouldn't dare claim that my book fought its way out of that crowd because of its outstanding quality, but at least I put in sweat and effort that everyone could see.
It's been almost eight months since I started this book, and in those eight months, I've written over 2.2 million characters.
That's not a huge amount, but my fellow Daoists can see that it came from typing away day and night.
Sitting down and staying there all day—I'm practically on the path to immortality.
So I feel I've done right by all my fellow Daoists who supported me with votes and tips.
As for whether this book can become a hit later on, that'll depend on Qidian's operations team~
