At nine the next morning, all thirteen of them had their gear on and had assembled in Zone One.
While they waited for the great wave, Zhou Sining glanced over their equipment.
It looked something like a cross between a diving suit and a spacesuit. Fairly thick fabric hugged their bodies, with armor-like devices fitted over it.
A transparent, sealed helmet covered their heads. It seemed reasonably sturdy.
The oxygen supply and movement systems relied on a special array engraved across the entire suit.
They only needed to press a button to activate the array, and the compressed energy stored inside the devices would slowly release, keeping the equipment running.
At first, everyone had been deeply skeptical of the equipment. This was their first time on an ocean battlefield, and none of them wanted to entrust their lives to gear they had never seen before.
But a quick look around showed them that the hunters packed along the enormous wall were all wearing the same equipment, which put them somewhat at ease.
"Remember, this equipment can only give you the capabilities of an Intermediate Level 3 Water Element mage for about three hours. So after two and a half hours, everyone must return to shore, no matter what," Jiang Yu reminded them.
Ai Jiangtu followed up on Jiang Yu's warning. "Use your headsets to stay in contact if anything happens. That will make rescue easier. Every zone has at least ten teams like ours, and many of them are foreigners. Avoid getting into conflicts with them so we don't end up in unnecessary fights."
"When it comes down to it, prioritize your own safety."
"Yes!"
It was everyone's first time fighting underwater, and they understood what mattered most.
"The wave's coming."
Someone spoke, and the dense crowd along the wall,
