"Staff Officer Nafen, the Chinese National Team is waiting with the troops. They'll arrive with the reinforcements tomorrow... I know the orders came from above, but are we really sending them against the Poison Gold Mummies?"
At the temporary position, Southern Military Commander Luoval turned to Chief of Staff Nafen.
"Yes." Nafen nodded.
Nafen was a typical Egyptian soldier: capable and efficient, not yet forty. She was one of the three Super Level Mages currently in Pusini City, and her main task was to lead the army in eliminating the mirage of Habo Pyramid.
They had already advanced through two temporary positions. Tomorrow would be their third push.
Eastern Military Commander Wangsike objected. "It's absurd! A bunch of kids in their early twenties who barely know anything—what do they know about a battlefield? People that age think they know everything. Plenty of them won't follow orders, and when something goes wrong, we'll have to rescue them!"
This third push was no children's game!
Beside their chosen temporary position was a huge horde of Poison Gold Mummies. Many Healing Mages could not cure their poison.
In battle, those Mummies hid behind the many Flesh Mountain Corpses and poisoned people from cover. Once spotted, they fled. They were cunning and treacherous.
To deal with this enormous problem, their superiors had assigned them an elite squad.
Never had they imagined that the elite squad they had pinned their hopes on would be the Chinese National Team!
Sending a group of people barely over twenty to face the troublesome Poison Gold Mummy Horde on the fiercest battlefield? It was absurd!
"These are the arrangements. Since we've accepted them, we need to trust them." Nafen paid no heed to Wangsike's objections.
Luoval remained neutral. "That's all we can do for now. We'll see how things
