The Ancient Emperor smacked his lips and muttered, "He was chosen by the Supreme Sword Tower, after all. If he lacked the necessary insight, I'd be underestimating the tower."
Shaking his head, the Ancient Emperor fell into a gloomy frown again.
Even his scarlet eyes brimmed with worry and frustration.
"I, the True Self, should never have entered the Supreme Sword Tower of my own accord."
"Otherwise, how could I, the True Self, have been imprisoned for these endless years?"
The Ancient Emperor was thoroughly frustrated.
Back then, he had stumbled upon the Supreme Sword Tower. Unable to determine its grade, he immediately decided it was a supreme treasure and tried to subdue it.
His research had actually yielded something: he could enter the Supreme Sword Tower.
But, unexpectedly...
Once he went in, he could not get out.
The Ancient Emperor had been frustrated, but there was nothing he could do. In the end, he simply slept inside the Supreme Sword Tower. As for the outside world... someone like him had lived for untold years. Besides, he had an easygoing nature, with a touch of the devil-may-care rogue about him.
After roaming the world for so long, even the Ancient Emperor had grown weary of it. For someone at his level, taking another step forward was far too difficult.
So he had simply... given up trying.
Yet after being imprisoned for endless years, even someone as easygoing as the Ancient Emperor had begun to feel bored. Now that he had awakened, he longed all the more to get out.
Getting in was easy. Getting out?
That was another matter entirely.
"Think of something, think of something! There must be a way out!"
The Ancient Emperor pondered, but... if a way existed, he would not have had to wait until now.
