"Roar!"
With the Spirit Herb snatched from right under its jaws, the True God-Level Fierce Beast flew into a fury. It roared and leaped up, its enormous body landing beside the tree where the young man had just stood.
Boom!
The True God-Level Fierce Beast was so massive that the earth shook beneath its landing. Trees snapped one after another in a terrifying spectacle.
But... as the True God-Level Fierce Beast stared at the figures of the "young man" filling the space before it, it was suddenly bewildered, unable to decide which way to give chase.
In that brief moment of hesitation, every figure had already fled far away. Seeing this, the True God-Level Fierce Beast could no longer afford to think. It picked one figure at random and immediately chased after him.
The True God-Level Fierce Beast was truly terrifying. Its speed was astonishing, and it caught up behind that figure in almost an instant.
"Roar!"
The True God-Level Fierce Beast roared and slammed down its enormous claw. A crack rang out, as though even space had been shattered, and the figure broke apart on the spot.
The figures fleeing in the other directions were completely unaffected. Instead, while the True God-Level Fierce Beast attacked that figure, they escaped even farther.
"Roar! Roar! Roar!"
How could the True God-Level Fierce Beast fail to understand now? The figure it had attacked was nothing but an illusion. The young man's true body had long since escaped. It let out a series of deafening roars.
The image before the Palace continued to shift, but rather than moving elsewhere, it locked onto one of the young man's figures fleeing in all directions.
This figure was the young man's real body.
"Huff, huff..."
"Lost it. That was close, so close."
