Background and History
Yun Chang met Qin Hao on a small island on the True Martial Continent. They became close friends, traveled together, and promised to reunite in the Star Sea after Yun Chang passed a Demon Race trial and departed 1687. In the Demon Race, he became a key disciple of the Undying Phoenix branch, though competition among its disciples and branches left him with limited standing and resources 1700.
They reunited in the Ancient Xuanhuang World when Qin Hao intervened as Shang Cheng tried to enslave Yun Chang for his treasure-finding gift 1687 1689. After Qin Hao later fell into a Spatial Rift, Yun Chang believed him dead. He sought the Dust-Cleansing Immortal Ruler to strengthen his Space Great Dao, search for Qin Hao, and avenge him 1778. He killed the Ten-Thousand Poisons King and one of Shang Cheng’s doppelgangers, then escaped a pursuit that left others believing he had died in a rift 1790 1802 1810. The brothers reunited two years after their separation 1820.
After leaving the Ancient Xuanhuang World, Yun Chang returned to the Demon Race and became the Darkworld Roc Lord’s disciple. He later traveled home to defend the True Martial Continent from a Devil Race invasion 1983 1990. His subsequent tribulations took him from Half-Step Sovereign directly to Three-Tribulation Sovereign, then eventually to Seven-Tribulation Sovereign 2027 2215.

Personality
Yun Chang is fiercely loyal to Qin Hao, whom he calls “Big Brother.” He offers Qin Hao the spoils of a battle because Qin Hao saved him, refuses a share of a flower that would benefit Qin Hao more, and initially insists on facing powerful enemies beside him 1700 1707 1860. He also enjoys finding and counting treasures, a habit dating back to their travels on the True Martial Continent 1700.
He is bold in combat and sometimes takes serious risks: he attacks a much stronger Demonic Beast despite Qin Hao’s warning to escape 2047. His resolve can coexist with a carefree streak. After more than thirty Eras spent mostly traveling rather than cultivating, the prospect of Qin Hao leaving him behind prompts him to enter seclusion 2201.
