Ch. 341The sword broke
Key plot points and events
- Qin Hao recognizes that Mo Heyue was present during the Imperial City battle and that the dead Tian Zhongtian has returned as a black-clad Puppet.
- Mo Heyue offers Qin Hao submission and claims he will eventually hand Mu Ziqing and the others over to him. Qin Hao mocks the offer, provoking Mo Heyue to attack.
- Tian Zhongtian’s Puppet and Di Yuannan engage the Cloudwing Beast. The beast’s claws cannot pierce the Puppet’s defenses, and the Puppet’s speed is even greater than Tian Zhongtian’s was in life.
- Qin Hao targets Mo Heyue, judging that killing him is the only way to end the fight. Mo Heyue uses a powerful Earth Grade saber, Astral Qi, and True Essence to counter Qin Hao’s repeated body-powered attacks.
- Qin Hao draws the Blazing Sky Sword and strikes with Sword Intent infused with the power of Sword Heart. The clash cracks both weapons: Qin Hao’s sword breaks, while Mo Heyue’s saber is left near breaking. The force wounds Mo Heyue and drives him back.
- Qin Hao realizes he must finish the fight quickly, before Mo Heyue can use any further hidden strengths, and charges at him again.
Character developments
- Qin Hao remains defiant despite Mo Heyue’s threat and demonstrates that his body-tempering strength, Sword Intent, and newly attained Sword Heart make him a serious threat to a True Martial Realm opponent. He also recognizes the limits of his broken sword and the need to press his advantage.
- Mo Heyue begins arrogantly confident, treating Qin Hao’s submission as inevitable. His composure falters when Qin Hao’s Sword Heart-powered strike breaks his defenses and wounds him.
- The Cloudwing Beast fights fiercely but discovers that the Puppet’s defenses and speed make it a formidable opponent.
- Tian Zhongtian, now a Puppet, appears to retain much of his former strength while gaining fearsome speed.
