Ch. 3901One Art to Shatter All Arts
Plot points
- Yun Chang, who survived Blood Leech Divine Lord’s attack and somehow reached the Demon Abyss’s seventh layer, has made his way to the eighth layer. There he faces a vast Heaven and Earth Labyrinth whose passages each contain a different first-rank true meaning.
- Though tempted by many powerful options—including thunder, fist, time, destruction, and life—Yun Chang decides against pursuing several at once. He chooses the space passage because spatial cultivation is his strongest area and he has already developed a void-space true-meaning embryo.
- Yun Chang enters the passage knowing the labyrinth is dangerous and that choosing wrongly could leave him trapped or lead to death. He wonders how his elder brother is faring.
- Elsewhere, Qin Hao arrives at the Demon Abyss’s sixth layer. A powerful thunder arc attacks him almost immediately, but he dodges it; the strike leaves a crater where he had stood.
Character developments and interactions
- Yun Chang shows restraint and strategic judgment. Rather than chasing every impressive opportunity, he prioritizes depth in the field best suited to him, guided by his elder brother’s advice that cultivation requires focus and patience.
- Qin Hao reacts quickly under sudden danger, narrowly escaping the sixth layer’s lethal thunder arcs.
- Yun Chang’s relationship with his elder brother is present through remembered advice and concern, though they do not interact directly in this chapter.
Significant themes
- Mastery over breadth: Becoming excellent in one art may be more valuable than attempting to learn them all.
- Patience and self-knowledge: Yun Chang’s choice reflects an understanding of his strengths and the danger of impatience.
- Risk and survival: Both characters face increasingly deadly trials, where a single poor decision—or a moment’s delay—could be fatal.
