Chameleon crouched on a rooftop, his binoculars trained on a door across the street.

His target was a secret contact point for The Hand, a small outpost with around ten people inside.

Mysterio stood behind him. His glass helmet glowed faint blue in the moonlight, and his cloak fluttered in the night breeze.

"Are you done looking? The greatest magic show of all time can't wait."

Chameleon lowered his binoculars. "Done. Ten targets, all confirmed. Just don't turn your magic show into a circus act."

"A circus act? You're slandering the greatest scientific achievement of the twenty-first century. Watch me wipe them all out in minutes."

"Not happening. If you take them all, what am I supposed to do?"

Mysterio raised a hand, blue light gathering in his palm. "Then I'll take the ones in front, and you handle the ones in back. Let's see who's faster."

Chameleon slid off the roof and landed soundlessly in the alley behind the building.

Mysterio approached the front door, the blue light in his palm illuminating his face. The door opened. Someone stuck his head out, saw Mysterio's face, and froze.

"Who are you?"

Mysterio didn't answer.

The ball of blue light in his palm burst. The man flew backward as if a truck had hit him and slammed into the wall.

The sudden attack sent everyone in the room shouting and grabbing their guns.
