Naruto spoke helplessly to the ugly man who had suddenly killed the Treasure-Rich Woman.
But before he could finish, the man interrupted him, giving him a contemptuous look.
"I've been secretly watching you two from the sidelines for ages. A pauper like you, with barely a few magical artifacts to your name, thinks he deserves to compete with me?"
Naruto frowned at him.
"Let me finish what I was saying. I meant that I originally only wanted that woman's top-grade magical artifacts. Now that you've taken them, I'll just have to take your magical artifacts as well."
The ugly man burst out laughing, as though Naruto had told him some incredibly ridiculous joke.
"This is the first time I, Feng Yue, have ever met someone more arrogant than me! Don't think having a giant snake demonic beast gives you the right to act so cocky!"
As he spoke, he channeled spiritual power into a small knife floating before him.
It was this very knife that had turned into a streak of yellow light and killed the Treasure-Rich Woman in a single surprise attack.
Naruto calmly turned his attention to the knife.
It was an oddly shaped little knife with a handle, its entire body crystal clear and radiating dazzling yellow light.
"So this is the legendary talisman treasure?"
Judging by the knife's power, its almost luminous appearance, and the astonishing burst of spiritual energy, Naruto felt certain it was no ordinary magical artifact. He guessed that it was a talisman treasure.
"Hey, you ignorant fool, how do you want to die? Should I slice you apart piece by piece while you're still alive, or roast your flesh inch by inch over a blazing fire?"
