The bolt was only a few centimeters long, but Aoda sensed death in it!
Suddenly, the Azure Wood True Shield he had boasted about moments ago no longer seemed so reliable.
His hands flashed, and two gleaming golden rings appeared in them. They radiated a bone-chilling aura and were clearly no ordinary items.

Daoist Qingwen shouted and hurled the rings without hesitation. They turned into two streaks of golden light and shot toward Naruto's Divine Thunder.

The Nine Heavens Divine Thunder pierced both rings with ease and continued toward Aoda without slowing.
Aoda's expression turned grave. He hurriedly pulled out a brass mirror and tossed it upward.
The mirror rose swiftly above the shield. After a yellow flash, it released a cloud of yellow mist several yards across, covering the space above Aoda.
In the blink of an eye, the mist solidified into a huge bronze shield that spun steadily overhead.
Naruto watched with the same easy smile, his expression unchanged.
The Nine Heavens Divine Thunder pierced the bronze shield just as easily, then struck the Azure Wood True Shield in front of Aoda with a bang!
