Just as Naruto was about to say something, a sudden, agonized scream cut him off.
Startled by the sound, Naruto and the others immediately looked over.
At some point, a man in blue robes had appeared not far from them.
With one arm glowing red, he struck Han Li in the chest with his palm, sending him flying.
Had Han Li not reacted in time and blocked the blow with a small shield magical artifact, that palm would likely have pierced his body and killed him on the spot!
"You really shouldn't take things that don't belong to him!"
The blue-robed man spoke with a smile.
He looked about forty, with a fair, clean-shaven face and a few crow's feet at the corners of his eyes. His expression was exceedingly kindly.
Having said that, he casually bent down and picked a thumb-sized azure pearl out of Aoda's bleached bones. The smile on his face deepened.
At almost the same instant he saw the man, Liu Jing's expression darkened, becoming intensely guarded.
"You are the leader of the Black Fiend Sect!"
A thoughtful look flashed through Liu Jing's eyes as he asked the probing question.
Upon hearing that this man was the Black Fiend Sect leader who was supposedly in seclusion, many of them paled. They gripped their magical artifacts, bracing themselves for a formidable enemy.
Liu Jing took a deep breath before suppressing his alarm.
Then, after secretly gesturing for the others to be careful, he asked coldly:
"That's right, I am Liu Jing! I am leading this operation to wipe out your evil Black Fiend Sect! You're all alone now, yet you still dare attack and kill people. You certainly have some nerve!"
Liu Jing spoke with righteous conviction, without a trace of fear!
