Early morning, in the basement.
"Wait, Little Thunder, that's too much lightning. If you keep this up, it'll..."
Boom!!!
A tremendous explosion rang out, and black smoke slowly drifted upward.
"Cough, cough... Seriously, the flames weren't ready yet. You can't pour in that much lightning..."
Mo Xie coughed several times and waved a hand through the thick black smoke in front of him, speaking in exasperation.
His white clothes had turned black, and his face was covered in soot. He looked rather comical.
"Yee~~ Yee~~"
Little Thunder flew over to Mo Xie, its infant body just as covered in soot.
Its large eyes fixed on Mo Xie, glistening with tears as though they could speak.
Dad, please don't scold me. I didn't mean to~
Mo Xie shared a soul connection with Little Thunder, so of course he understood its babbling. He smiled helplessly.
When he first learned that the little fellow called him Dad, he had been startled. He had never expected to have a son at such a young age.
He reached out to rub Little Thunder's head and said with an exasperated smile,
"All right, what father would stay angry with his own child? I'm not blaming you. It's my fault for being too impatient and trying a more advanced Forging Technique."
Funnily enough, during his morning exercise, it had suddenly occurred to him that having Little Thunder might improve his Forging Technique.
Little Thunder had a natural affinity for and control over the thunder element. Wouldn't forging become a breeze with its help?
The moment that thought struck him, he woke Little Thunder from its sound sleep and began experimenting with his Forging Technique.
The result spoke for itself. The forging process had not exactly gone smoothly.
Mo Xie felt he had been a little too fanciful.
