"Wait, you want me to live at your place?!"
Ding Yumian's lips parted, revealing her pearly teeth and the tip of her tongue. Two spots of color rose to her fair cheeks as she let out a startled cry.
"Yeah. The place I bought in Magic City is pretty big, but right now it's just me and my younger brother and sister. It seems a waste to leave so many rooms empty, so I wanted to ask if you'd move in."
"Think about it. We hardly get to see each other, and every time we do, we have to come all the way here. It's inconvenient. If you lived with me, we could be together every day."
That was right. Mo Xie wanted Ding Yumian to move into his home. The house was huge, but hardly anyone lived there.
His father and Aunt Wen were in Bo City, too far away for a convenient trip to Magic City. Besides, he would be going back to Bo City for New Year's himself, so he hadn't asked them to visit.
Ye Xinxia was in Hangzhou. She spent most of her time at school or Tang Yue's place and only came to stay during long breaks. She certainly wouldn't be around on ordinary days.
That left only Mo Xie and Mo Fan in the house. It always felt as though something was missing.
Of course, that last part was what Mo Xie had really wanted to say. He spent too little time with Ding Yumian and wanted them to have more time together.
They went to the same school, yet seeing each other was still such a hassle. He didn't like it.
