Tang Yue's family lived not far from West Lake, in a sprawling apartment of over two hundred square meters. They were clearly well-off.
That made sense. The whole family worked for the Judgment Hall, so their pay and benefits were bound to be good.
"Come in, Little Evil. Make yourself at home."
With that, Tang Wanlian went into the kitchen.
"Come on, Little Evil. Sit and chat with me for a while."
Tang Yi pulled Mo Xie onto the sofa and peppered him with questions.

As they worked, Tang Wanlian quietly asked her daughter,
"Yueyue, be honest with Mom. Do you have feelings for Little Evil?"
"What... what kind of feelings?"
Tang Yue drew her head back and asked timidly, her eyes darting away.
"Don't play dumb. Romantic feelings."
"Oh, Mom! Little Evil and I are just like brother and sister. It's not as complicated as you think!"
"I'm telling you, I really like that boy. He's tall, handsome, and well-mannered. He's leagues better than those rich boys and officials' sons chasing you. Besides, you're the one who chose to call him your little brother."
"If you didn't like him, would you have done that?"
Tang Wanlian kept talking in her ear
