A violent peal of thunder erupted inside the factory. The piercing sound made everyone want to cover their ears.
Lightning lit up the surroundings. Screams echoed through the factory, and countless grotesque shadows flickered in the flashes.

She looked up and saw four hideous, misshapen monsters with grotesquely twisted limbs. Their faces resembled those of demonic monkeys, and their skin was pitch-black.
Farther inside, five men in gray cloaks were closing in on Xu Zhaoting, while more than a dozen other deformed monsters waited for a chance to strike.
Xu Zhaoting cast Wind Track and leaped sideways to dodge a Black Beast Demon's ambush. When he spotted Zhang Lulu standing at the entrance, alarm flashed across his face.
"Lulu, what are you doing here? Get out, now!"
That moment of distraction was all a waiting Black Beast Demon needed. It lunged at him, claws outstretched.
"Zhaoting... Water Shield!"
At the last possible moment, Zhang Lulu linked her Water Element Star Orbit. Several ribbon-like streams circled Xu Zhaoting, forming a shield of water that blocked the claws.
The Black Beast Demon was hurled backward and slammed into the wall.
"Damn it! She's ruined everything!"
Seeing the ambush fail, Hui Yi glared at Zhang Lulu and snarled.
